President and Chief Executive Officer
Joseph F. Furlong III

Mr. Furlong has served as American HomePatient's President and Chief Executive Officer since November 1998. In addition, Mr. Furlong has served as President of Adirondack Capital Advisors, a financial advisory firm, since 1996. His professional history also includes partnership positions with Colman Furlong & Co., a merchant banking firm, Robertson Stephens, an investment banking company, and McKinsey & Company, an international management consulting firm. Since 1984, Mr. Furlong's experience and business activities have been focused largely in the area of healthcare.


Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
Thomas E. Mills

Mr. Mills became American HomePatient's Chief Operating Officer in November 1998. His experience with the Company as a senior manager dates back to 1992. From 1996-1997, Mr. Mills served as Senior Vice President of Strategic Alliances for American HomePatient before leaving to operate his own healthcare consulting business. Prior to his role as Senior Vice President of Strategic Alliances, Mr. Mills held the position of Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer for American HomePatient from 1992-1996. Before joining American HomePatient, Mr. Mills served as President of Marquest Health Services from 1983-1992. In addition, Mr. Mills has held financial and operational positions with corporations in healthcare arena, including Glasrock Home Health Care, and Arthur Andersen & Co.


Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Marilyn A. O’Hara

Ms. O’Hara joined American HomePatient as Chief Financial Officer in January 1999. She has held senior-level management positions with several healthcare companies, including US Laboratory Corporation, where she was the Vice President of Finance until its purchase by Sun Health in November 1998. She has also been the Divisional Vice President, Finance for the Courier Corporation; CFO with Alpine Press; and Treasurer of Bird, Inc. where she was involved in all facets of the company’s financial activities including public offerings, acquisitions and divestitures. A certified public accountant, Ms. O’Hara spent several years early in her career at Price Waterhouse.
