AerMeds is a complete unit dose home respiratory medication service that provides your patients with all of the equipment, supplies and medications necessary for them to comply with their prescribed therapy. In addition, complete patient education is performed at the time of delivery. For convenience, your patient’s medication is shipped on a regular basis directly to their door upon their authorization.

AerMeds^SM Pharmacy Services*
Physicians can choose convenient pharmacy services for their patients by mail. The STAT Dose program offers same-day or overnight delivery for patients with immediate needs. Our pharmacy provides drug compounding services, follow-up calls, bilingual staff, and customized reporting. Our "On-Call" pharmacist is available around the clock.

Assignment is accepted for Medicare, most Medicaids and some commercial payers. Please contact your local office directly for specific information on accepted Medicaids and commercial payers.

Fax-ready Prescription Pads
We provide Aerosol Patient Prescription order pads to simplify patient referrals.* By using our prescription form and faxing it to our local center, you or your office staff won’t have to make additional phone calls to complete a patient referral. Our prescription pad asks for all the information needed to initiate a patient on the AerMeds service.

Compliance Assistance Program
Our unique service strives to maintain or improve therapy compliance by utilizing personalized service and flexible home therapy options. AerMeds also assists your patients in safe and accurate medication dispensing, which can reduce the number of emergency visits and subsequent hospital stays.

Monthly medication reorders are initiated by the patient with a postage-paid order card shipped with the previous month’s order. This helps ensure that we ship and bill only for the medication and supplies they need. If we don’t receive a card, we contact the patients by phone in case they have forgotten. We also use this opportunity to encourage compliance with patient therapy.

STAT Dose Program
In emergency situations or for holiday discharges, American HomePatient provides an initial supply of medication through a local pharmacy until your patients' order can arrive in their home.
